What is the program for the advanced and expert splitboard courses at the Presset Refuge, and who are they for?

Required level

For these splitboard courses at the Presset refuge, prior experience in splitboarding and backcountry snowboarding is required. Snowboarders must have already completed several day trips and/or multi-day tours in splitboard and know how to use the touring equipment independently (splitboard, bindings, skins, crampons).

Program

Each day of the course corresponds to an outing day in splitboarding: you will need to provide a picnic and something to drink for the first touring day. The difficulty of each hike varies according to the level of the group.

Each pack comes with a splitboard, climbing skins, 3-section poles and crampons — just bring your own boots and you’re ready to go. We only work with top-of-the-line equipment, because reliable gear makes all the difference in the mountains — especially if you’re just starting out. (Trust us, nothing kills the stoke faster than a heavy, clumsy splitboard on your very first tours…) Our fleet features PLUM Snowboards, fitted with Eterlou bindings, all proudly handcrafted at home in Haute-Savoie.
