Splitboarding and nights at Les Prés hut with an instructor/guide

Les Prés refuge it is the comfort of an inn and the atmosphere of a mountain refuge. A former alpine chalet renovated between 2020 and 2021, the refuge now welcomes hikers and splitboarders within the Contamines Montjoie nature reserve on the slopes of Mont-Blanc. We invite you to practice splitboarding against this alpine backdrop, to enjoy the comfort of this brand new building for an evening, and to spend the night in one of the 7 dormitories of 4 places in the refuge des Close. A first ski lift will allow you to gain altitude and you will then discover the wild Haut Val Montjoie with your instructor/guide.

Day 1 | Les Prés hut - 1935 m

M+ 400 to 1100 m ; M- 600 to 1300 m ; 4 to 6 hours

Arve valley access > Meet at Télécabine de la Gorge car park of Les Contamines-Montjoie ski resort, depending on the program.

We'll start with 2 successive ski lifts to quickly get away from the Contamines ski area and switch to the Savoie side to climb to the Col de la Fenêtre (2245 m) or the Col de la Cicle (2377 m) from the Alpages du Bolchu. From one of these 2 passes, we can ski directly to the Refuge des Prés or extend the hike by passing from one pass to the other, or take the more demanding Col des Chasseurs (2688 m) which is an aerial route with skis on the rucksack.

Day 2 | Monts Jovet - 2468 m

M+ 500 to 1100 m ; 4 to 6 hours

Day 3 | Tête Sud des Fours - 2665 m

M+ 500 to 1200 m ; M- 600 to 1500 m ; 4 to 6 hours
